Corrigan Logistics Assists with Hospital Conversion of Jacob Javitz in NYC

The impacts the Coronavirus (COVID-19) is having on our nation is far reaching. Our country is facing a pandemic unlike anything faced before. As hospitals across the country see an increase in demand for healthcare needs, they are forced to find creative solutions to caring for patients.

Many of the insightful and creative ideas for flexing the capacity of healthcare systems are coming from outside the healthcare industry. The country is coming together to fight against COVID-19. Corrigan Logistics’ long time partner has pivoted their production facilities to design and create COVID-19 Temporary Structure Solutions for hospitals and communities. They are building room options and stand-alone structures. The rooms they have designed are being fabricated to address all the medical needs from sanitized space to negative pressure rooms.

The Jacob Javitz Center in NYC is converted into a hospital to care for non-COVID-19 patients. This allows the capacity at other hospitals to manage the increase patient load. The Army Corp of Engineers led the conversion of this event space into a functional hospital.

As the country moves forward through this pandemic, we will continue to work together to provide the best solutions possible. Corrigan is proud to be doing a small part to assist with this temporary hospital. Corrigan will continue to support additional relief efforts throughout this crisis. We are committed to providing our essential services to our clients and communities.
